PPMtv is the only member-driven community access television station in the Seacoast area. In a city that values the arts, creativity, and expression, PPMtv offers many a powerful voice.  As a nonprofit, we depend on memberships and donations to support our growth.

We are an IRS-recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so your contribution is deductible to the extent the law allows. Please ask about our sponsorship and program underwriting packages.

Important to know…In the tradition of public broadcasting, we do not sell advertising airtime on our cable channel, nor do we accept commercial ads. We do welcome program underwriting, and other sponsorships are available. Members support our mission of providing fair access to all area residents, creating a new local community on cable TV, online and at our new facility, and restoring the City’s 1867 historic building for its new purpose as Portsmouth’s Public Meetinghouse, PPMtv.

Student

If you’re enrolled in a university, public or private education system you can become a member at a student rate. This membership is designed to educate students in the film and broadcast world that won’t break the student loan bank. This membership allows students to utilize PPMtv’s gear and stages under supervision with staff. This membership is awesome for someone who is looking to expand their education in a real field environment of film and television.

Individual

Become a member of PPMtv and join a community of creative individuals on the Seacoast that are producing content for broadcast. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience — we’ll teach you! Start out as a crew member for someone else’s show. Learn, have fun and meet new people.

Rehearsal/Meeting Rental

This membership tier is best for organizations or individuals that utilize our space for rehearsals, meetings, or otherwise. Consider this tier if you are not doing video productions, but rather simply using the space.

Business/Organization

Business membership will help you connect with the community, generate awareness of your business among potential customers, and stretch your marketing dollars. As a member, you have access to equipment and studios to create content that you can share on your own website and social media channels.

Gold

Per YearThis tier is best suited for organizations that intend to make the most of Portsmouth Public Media’s resources. If you or your organization has extensive creative visions and the interest in learning to execute, this membership is your best value.

STUDIO SPACE

As a member, you will have access to our two unique production stages in the historic South End Meeting house. Either of our two stages can be reserved for rehearsals and tapings. Our facilities currently include green screens, a 720 square foot infinite white space, and a three camera control room for mixing audio and video.

FIELD KITS

As a member, you can check out a field kit for remote recordings. Currently, the kits contain:

  • SDHC Camera
  • tripod
  • audio boom
  • wireless microphone
  • portable lighting equipment

COMPUTER LAB

The computer lab currently is outfitted with six Apple computers loaded with software including Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier.

WORKSHOPS/CLASSES

Members receive a discount on workshops and classes. Learn how to produce and edit your own show or meet and assist others with their projects. Classes that have been offered in the past include Single Camera Field Production, Multi-camera Studio Production, and Intro to Post Production Editing. If you have a talent for video production, consider joining PPMtv to mentor other members.

COMMUNITY

Join a growing community of creative individuals on the Seacoast.  The area is rich with talent. It only makes sense that with a community like ours we should have the best community television station around.
